CHESTER and MIDLOTHIAN, Va. – Want to chuckle? Want to guffaw? Want to be amused? Then you won’t want to miss John Tyler Community College’s presentation of Laughing Stock by Charles Morey. Laughing Stock is a hilarious backstage farce and a genuinely affectionate look into the world of the theatre. When The Playhouse, a rustic New England summer theatre, schedules a repertory season of Dracula, Hamlet and Charley's Aunt, comic mayhem ensues. The show, performed by JTCC’s Theatre Workshop class; directed by Kerrigan Sullivan, associate professor of theatre; and produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., will hit the stage May 6-8, 2011. Show times are 7:00 p.m. on May 6 and May 7 and 3:00 p.m. on May 8. All performances will be held in the Nicholas Student Center on the College’s Chester Campus (13101 Jefferson Davis Hwy.). Admission is free.
