Call for Entries
Are you an author or artist looking for venue for your work? If you are a current John Tyler Community College student, the literary magazine, Sherwood Forest, may be just the ticket. Printed in full color on high gloss paper with meticulous formatting, The Sherwood Forest Literary Review showcases the incredible talents of John Tyler students. Entries are judged by literary and artistic experts and first, second and third place winners are honored at the spring awards banquet. So sharpen your pencils, both lead and colored, and get those submissions ready. The deadline is Friday, January 18, 2013.
The fine points:
- All entries must be the student’s original work.
- Students may submit two entries, one per category.
- Art entries must be submitted as high-resolution (300 dpi or better) JPEG format and cannot have been previously exhibited publicly or offered for sale.
- Word count limits:
- Fiction and creative nonfiction: 2000 words
- Poetry: 1000 words
For complete information on submitting your work visit the John Tyler website.
