Harper Lee, one of the most well-known American authors of the 20th century has announced the publication of her second novel, Go Set a Watchman. After more than 50 years since the publication of the beloved classic, To Kill a Mockingbird, Lee's first manuscript was discovered.  After sharing with a group of trusted individuals, Ms. Lee has decided it is time to share her work with the world again. The John Tyler Libraries will operate with reduced hours starting on Monday, December 22 and ending on Saturday, January 10, 2015. The following schedule applies to both campus libraries: Monday, 12/22 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, 12/23 7:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Midlothian Only- Tuesday, 12/23 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.  Wednesday, 12/24 - Sunday, 1/4 CLOSED Monday, 1/5 - Thursday, 1/8 7:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Saturday, 1/10: CLOSED The JTCC Libraries will resume normal operating hours on Monday, January 12, 2015. Annually, the Oxford Dictionary's editorial staff selects a word of the year.  Last year, the prevalence of picture based social media like Instagram pushed the word "selfie" to the front of Oxford's list.  This year, another socially charged topic took the top spot.  So drum roll please...the word of 2014 is vape!  Vape is in reference to the growing number of electronic cigarettes that are an ever-growing market and highly debated in the healthcare field.
