The Millennium Trilogy (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest) are an international publishing sensation. Atmospheric, intelligent, and terrifying, the trilogy has sold over 60 million books worldwide and sparked a new interest in Swedish fiction.

The first book, the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, partners a disgraced journalist with a punk-rock hacker in a search for a missing person. Abuse of power, secret societies, Nazi conspiracies…its all here.

All three of the books have been made into movies in Sweden; the American version (slated for December 2011 and starring Daniel Craig) has been billed as “The Feel Bad Movie of Christmas.” Read more about the Stieg Larsson phenomenon in Library Journal: Stieg Larsson Stats: By the Numbers.

These books are EXPLOSIVE! The library has all three titles in stock. Start with The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and brace yourself for a wild ride!

When I first started reading The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, I didn’t think I was going to like it. Once I got drawn in, however, I couldn’t stop reading until I’d finished all three. Awesome books!

I’ve listened to the book in audio format. I do not really like Stieg Larson’s books. They really make me feel Gloomy.

    Kind regards,

    Steve

Sorry you did not like the books as much as I did. You are right, they are a bit cold and gloomy. Maybe I like that arctic chill!

    Thanks for the comment–Suzanne
