Diplomas are not handed out at the spring graduation ceremony. Please note:
- The graduation process within the Peoplesoft system occurs approximately 2-3 weeks after the commencement ceremony in spring and after grades post for the Summer Semester. The Fall Semester graduation process begins after the College reopens in January of each year.
- Diplomas are ordered after graduation has been recorded in Peoplesoft. Diplomas are ordered from a third party vendor that then has 45-60 days to provide the diplomas to JTCC.
- The Admissions and Records Office will notify graduates when their diplomas are ready for distribution. Candidates should make certain that their mailing addresses are accurate in the Student Information System in myTyler. It is also important for students to check their student e-mail accounts for important information. If you need official verification of your graduation, you should request your official transcript 3-4 weeks after your graduation date.
- All graduation honors reflect all coursework attempted at John Tyler Community College. This includes courses that may not be used in satisfying specific graduation requirements.
