Center for Teaching and Learning
The Center for Teaching and Learning collaborates with faculty members in the design, development, utilization, management and evaluation of processes and resources for teaching and learning. The Office also provides assistance to students who need help with Blackboard, student email, and other college supported technologies.
The most common tool the department uses is Blackboard. This Learning Management System (LMS) allows instructors to provide learning materials such as syllabi, lecture notes, presentations, assignments and other course documents online for students to access at anytime. The program also includes collaborative tools, such as discussion boards, wikis, journals and Blackboard Collaborate.
If you are unable to log in to Blackboard, you may need to reset your myTyler password. To do this, visit myTyler Help. For Blackboard issues other than password help, or for help with your VCCS student email, submit a Help Request Form at www.jtcc.edu/bbemailhelp/ or call 804-594-1620 during regular business hours.
