Writers and artists, here’s your chance to see your work in print! The 2015 JTCC Sherwood Forest Art and Literary Competition is now accepting entries. There are four categories:

  • Art (including photography)
  • Fiction
  • Creative non-fiction
  • Poetry

The rules for each category are listed below. All entries must be submitted electronically to by Friday, January 30, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. and must include the Student's EmplID.

The contest is open to current John Tyler students only. Only two submissions total per student, one submission per category.

  • Submit as high-resolution (300 dpi or better) jpeg.
  • Must be original work.
  • Cannot have been professionally exhibited or offered for sale.
  • Complete the Artwork Release Form and submit it with each art entry. Any art entry featuring any person other than the Artist/Photographer must include signed consent from that person. Use the Artwork Release Form for this consent. If the person is under 18, the legal guardian must read and sign the form.

Students receiving first, second and third place recognition will have their work published in the Review, receive a prize and be recognized at the College's Annual Awards Night Banquet and Ceremony on April 24, 2015. First, second and third place winners in the art competition will be featured in the Review. Honorable mentions may be published if space is available.
