EMS Instructor Assistant – #PT025 Open until filled

Hiring Range: $15/hr. (EMT-Basic, Advanced EMT, or specialty field)
$20/hr. (EMT-Intermediate or EMT-Paramedic)

Responsibilities: The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Instructor Assistant will be responsible for assisting EMS Faculty during Practical Skills Sessions. This may include the delivery & evaluation of essential skills in the laboratory setting; assisting with set-up & breakdown of practical skills stations, as well as monitoring & documenting student performance of various skill sets. May include the following courses: AHA/BLS, EMT Basic, EMT-I, Paramedic, and RN to Paramedic. May work at either campuses (Chester or Midlothian) or other off-site locations.

Qualifications: REQUIRED: Demonstrate a high degree of competency in EMS skills performance. Several years of recent EMS-related work and teaching experience. Virginia state and nationally certified EMT-Intermediate or Paramedic. Virginia State certified EMT-Basic. Background check will be required before employment. PREFERRED: State EMT Education Coordinator, AHA/BLS, AHA/ACLS, AHA/PALS, PHTLS, EPC and AMLS instructor certifications preferred. Several years of recent EMS-related work and teaching experience.
