Holiday Schedule & Online Registration

John Tyler Community College will be closed from 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2012 – 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 for winter break.

Students who register for spring 2013 classes December 17-20, 2012 must pay their tuition and fees by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2012 to avoid being dropped from their classes for non-payment.  Please note: payments can only be made in-person until 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2012.  Online payments will be accepted until 5:00 p.m.

Students will be able to continue registering for spring semester classes while the College is closed for winter break. Holiday Online Registration will begin Friday, December 21, 2012 and will run through 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2013. During this time, there will be no in-person registration offered, but students wishing to sign up for spring classes may do so using the Student Information Center found at  There will be no Help Desk assistance during that time. Students who take advantage of Holiday Online Registration may pay their tuition and fees online, or they may pay in person on January 2, 2013 when the College reopens.   Students who register through Holiday Online Registration must pay all their tuition and fees by 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2013.

Registration for the Spring 2013 semester will resume as normal after the College re-opens on January 2, 2013.  Students are welcome to register online or in-person until the last day to add classes for the various sessions.  See the academic calendar for more information.

Students who attended Fall 2012 classes at John Tyler Community College and would like to check their grades should use the Student Information System at Please note that the College does not mail grades.
