RESPONSIBILITIES: Our college is seeking to fill an Associate Dean position. The associate dean of arts, humanities, math and social sciences will assist the division with providing direct support to students and faculty. Duties include but are not limited to providing excellent customer service to students and faculty, resolving student concerns and issues, assisting with development of the course schedule, reviewing faculty technology requests, completing part-time faculty evaluations, assisting with program assessment, advising students, assisting with management of day-to-day operations, working on special projects, assisting with evening supervision, and serving on committees internal and external to the institution.
QUALIFICATIONS: Required: A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a discipline area applicable to the division; excellent oral and written communications skills; excellent problem-solving skills. The successful candidate must be willing to provide evening campus coverage and to be flexible to work at both of the College’s campuses. Successful completion and passing of a criminal background check.
Preferred: Postsecondary administrative experience, especially in two-year colleges; education beyond the master’s; experience with instructional technology.
