The idea for Fool for Art sparked in 2005, when John Tyler Community College decided it wanted to create a fun way to introduce its Midlothian Campus to the community. In 2006, the college unveiled its Fool for Art Festival for the first time, and over the years, the festival received outstanding support from the community, as well as from Tyler’s dedicated faculty, staff and students.
Much has changed during Fool for Art’s 12 years, including the needs of our communities and our students. Because of this, the college has decided to bid a fond farewell to the Fool for Art Festival.
We are grateful to all the people who have been part of Fool for Art – our faculty, staff, students and alumni; the artists and vendors; the community organizations; the volunteers; and so many others.
Thank you for helping place Tyler’s Midlothian Campus firmly on the map! We hope you continue to be part of the Tyler family by attending future college events, visiting campus, or taking a class.
