Student Tips to Prepare for Finals

If you have visited the Tyler Libraries recently, you probably noticed our weekly questions on the giant whiteboards.  With finals right around the corner, the libraries want to know, what advice do you have for other students preparing for finals?

Here are the responses from your fellow students:

  • Pray!
  • Schedule tests for online classes early.
  • Drink coffee, study hard, sleep is for the weak.
  • Hit the gym.
  • Never tickle a sleeping dragon. (Draco dormiens nunquam titillandus- Hogwarts motto)
  • Say no to drugs and energy drinks.
  • Sleep when you can and take deep breaths. Also eat a good meal, your brain needs energy to run.
  • Flashcards!
  • Write, don’t type. It helps your memory.
  • Study!
  • There is more than one way to understand something.
  • Time to get over yourself and start drinking coffee.
  • Stay healthy and get your sleep.
  • Delete Facebook and hit the gym.
  • Never wait until the last minute to study. Study ahead of time.
  • If you don’t get it the first time, just wing it.
  • Handwriting your notes.
