Technology Updates:

Printing:

The Tyler libraries will be converting to a new print system, Pharos, in spring 2017.  The cost for printing will not change, black and white copies will be 10 cents per page and color copies are 50 cents per page.

Please prepare for the new printing system by setting up your student ID card with the Student Activities Office in Hamel hall, H103 (Midlothian) and Nicolas, N103 (Chester).  The student ID cards will enable users to release their print jobs from the print stations and add value to their accounts using cash. More details about printing will be shared closer to the official launch date (to be determined).

Please contact the Tyler libraries with any questions regarding printing in the library. 804-594-1519 or 804-706-5195.

Wireless Network:

To combat connectivity issues at the Midlothian campus, the wireless network will be undergoing updates during the winter break.  Student users should not see many differences when the new network is implemented, only an updated log in screen to enter their myTyler credentials.

Community patrons will now be able to connect to an open/public network and will not be required to obtain a guest pass to access the new public network.
