Ever wanted to learn more about a topic without taking an entire semester class on it? The JTCC libraries offer workshops throughout the semester on a variety of topics: ranging from academic skills like searching databases and avoiding plagiarism to literary interests, like poetry and the different book genres the library carries. Workshops offer students the opportunity to hone skills introduced in class and to explore new interests.
In SDV 100? Attending a library workshop can count as an out-of-class activity. Check out all upcoming workshops on the library webpage at library.jtcc.edu. You can also watch for them in the Student Activities e-mail about what’s going on this week at Tyler.
Next up: a workshop exploring the world of Poetry called Spinning Poems, Spitting Rhymes. Join us Monday, April 30, at 5:45 PM for this evening workshop.
Also, coming soon: a Midlothian Maker-Space activity. Join us and de-stress at a knitting and crocheting activity on May 2, at the Midlothian Library at noon.
