Interested in pursuing a job in information technology, manufacturing or the skilled trades? Then, consider signing up for one of Tyler’s accelerated summer career programs. Through the program, students can take between one and four classes, depending on the career track, and then earn an industry-recognized certification. The skills and certifications earned through these programs can lead to jobs such as:

  • Computer Technician
  • Networking/Security
  • Cloud Computing
  • Computer Programmer
  • Electrician Helper
  • Industrial Mechanic
  • Welder
  • Computer-Aided Drafter (CAD)
  • Geospatial (GIS) & Mapping Technician

Classes for accelerated career programs count toward associate degree and certificate programs. Students do not need to be in a major to participate in an accelerated program, however, being in a major allows students to seek financial aid, if they wish, and will help them continue to build on their skillsets so they can advance their careers.

If you’d like more information about accelerated summer career programs, join us for one of our free information sessions being held online April 28 at 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. On that page, you can also get information about specific program options, including job types, classes, certifications, average starting salaries, and associated degree and certificate programs.

Registration for career program classes, as well as for Tyler’s other summer classes is currently underway. If you are new to Tyler, you will need to complete an application for admission before you are able to register for courses. Information about the application and other guidance for getting started at Tyler may be found on our website
