New Trailblazers: Register for New Student Orientation
This summer, Tyler will be offering orientation sessions for all new students beginning this fall to introduce them to life at Tyler. Students will hear about how we support our students and facilitate their success, both in and out of the classroom. Topics covered include:
- Planning to transfer after Tyler
- Career services
- Student life
- Paying for college
- Resources for student success
Orientation is mandatory for all new students and students have the option of attending an in-person or virtual session, or completing their orientation online.
This 60-minute Welcome Session (hosted in Zoom) is designed to provide new students with all the information they'll need for a successful transition to Tyler. Throughout the week, we’ll also be hosting optional special-topic information sessions. Virtual orientation will be offered:

July 21, 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.
August 10, 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.

You’ll also have the opportunity to receive one-on-one assistance with completing your enrollment steps, and tour campus with one of our Student Ambassadors. In-person orientation sessions will be offered:

Spring Semester to Begin Remotely
Due to the current spread of COVID-19 in our area, the college’s spring semester classes will begin remotely. Through January 29, classes scheduled to meet on-campus will be held through Zoom. The college’s student services offices will also continue to offer remote services on the weekdays during this timeframe. Very limited staff will be on campus, and students are encouraged to access services remotely. Students needing assistance may contact the Help Hub. Learn more.
